A little squish. A lot to discover.Independent guides, happy finds

OUR EDITORIAL POLICY

Good finds need clear facts.

How we research, label evidence, check prices, and correct product information.

Different kinds of evidence

A manufacturer specification is a sourced statement about an exact product. A merchant description is the seller’s claim. A hands-on observation is something recorded while using an identified product. We label those sources of information clearly.

A genuine hands-on review needs the product and variant, acquisition details, observation dates, a method, and supporting notes or photographs. Our current product pages are researched buying notes; they do not claim personal testing.

What we check

We look for the exact product name, listed material, age guidance, care method, price, and retailer URL. Important unknowns, such as missing dimensions, remain visible rather than being filled with guesses.

A food-style ounce label is not treated as independently measured weight. A soft appearance does not prove a safety certification, medical benefit, or suitability for every age.

How we handle prices

Prices are recorded in USD with the date checked and a link to the retailer’s listing. The three current product prices were checked on November 3, 2026. They are a dated reference, not an automatic live-price feed.

The current retailer checkout determines the final price, tax, delivery charge, selected variant, and availability. We do not create urgency messages or infer stock from ambiguous storefront labels.

Recommendations and commercial links

A commercial relationship does not establish a product’s quality. We disclose approved affiliate links if they are used. The current Buttersquishy product links are ordinary direct links with no claimed affiliate relationship.

We do not fabricate star ratings, customer quotes, sales totals, commission amounts, expert credentials, or handling experience. Our original illustrations do not prove a product’s appearance, feel, or durability.

Corrections and updates

An editor checks each page’s title, content, metadata, sources, and product claims before publication. A changed material fact or newly checked price should carry an updated date.

Readers can send the relevant page URL and a primary source through the contact details provided on our contact page. We review the evidence and correct supported errors.
